Prasat Ban Samo, a small ancient Khmer castle, was built with laterite, consisting the small porch, the front entrance on the east side, and the false doors on the other sides, the sandstone with unfinished engraved pattern assumed as the image of Buddha in the attitude of meditation above Kala face disgorging and holding the rolling leaf carved garland as well as the sculpture of two persons pressing their hands at their chest . On the southeast side of the building, There is a laterite rectangular temple with laterite entrance on the west side. Around the castle, the principle pagoda, and the four temples are surrounded by laterite walls, with the large arch on the east side. Outside the north wall of the building, there is a small pond enclosed with the laterite barrier. In addition, the area around the building is shady with a variety of plants, allowing visitors to relax along with learning the art of Khmer as well.
